The Tuesday Chronicles :: Week 4

Okay, so I know I would have normally posted this on Tuesday, but there was an "issue".

I took some awesome pictures of our adventures which, in a nutshell, got corrupted on my camera before I could post them. Booooo... So, I was trying to recover them. And I tried in vain. Oh well. Here goes...

First of all, David & I went to a salon so that I could get a haircut. My hair was getting WAY too long & summer is not the time for awesome locks that I'm simply not all that attached to. So I cut it off. All of it. As in 11 inches. That's right. (This is where I took an awesome picture that I no longer have.) I wasn't initially planning on cutting off quite that much, but since my hair was so long, I decided that it would be cool to donate it to Locks of Love. And my hair was so thick that they had to separate it into two separate pony tails. Now my hair is about at my collar bone and the weightlessness of it feels great!

Afterwards, we went to Nickel City, the nickel arcade in Orem, & played for like an hour. Nice & reminiscent of a long lost childhood. Oh, & big news... we won soooo many tickets that we were able to buy a really cool, fake, floppy, super thin Cat in the Hat looking stripey hat. Woo hoo!

After that, we went to the dollar theater & saw Alice in Wonderland, which we loved. We definitely plan on buying it at some point. Plus, Tim Burton is simply a rock star.

That is all.

13 Weeks

13 Weeks ≠ Looking Awesomely Pregnant

13 Weeks = Looking Fatter

I've lost 10 pounds since getting pregnant due to food aversions & morning sickness, but I still look like I've grown a gut. It's okay, though. I hope it'll round out soon.

Tomorrow is our 13 week marker; the end of my first trimester. Here's a picture of the gut that my baby has graciously given me thus far:

The Tuesday Chronicles :: Week 3

Last night, amidst the rain & freezing cold, we went to the BYU-UVU baseball game. (Side Note: For those of you not familiar with this part of Utah, UVU is Utah Valley University, which is only a few miles from BYU.) We ended up losing 14-12 in extra innings, but it was still fun. Here are a few pictures:

Getting ready...

Starting time!

Dear Reader,

Please excuse Tiffany today. She is quite exhausted from her rainy adventure this evening & promises to post her weekly "Tuesday Chronicle" entry tomorrow. Thank you for being so understanding.

The Tuesday Chronicles :: Week 2

Today was a lazy Tuesday, so we didn't get out of the house until about noon, which kinda felt awesome. We decided to go to IKEA to look around & get a couple of fun things for the house. Afterward, we had a little lunch, including yummy cinnamon rolls, in the cafe.

After that, we wandered over to the Draper Outlet Stores to see what we could find. We stopped at Lane Bryant, since I've been in need of some new comfy shirts that I could wear to work. I found a fabulous shirt for $26.50. More than I wanted to pay, but my clothes from that store last for a really long time, so I consider it a decent investment. Anyway, they were giving away free camis today, which are normally $19.50. Nice bonus! And, I mentioned to the girl working there that I forgot my $15 off coupon that I got in the mail this week, so she gave it to me anyway. So basically, I got $46 worth of clothing for $12 today. Not too shabby, I say. :) And David was a fabulous shopping buddy, as he would accurately tell me whether something looked good on me or was "my style". What a good man.

The Tuesday Chronicles :: Week 1

This summer, David was able to match his work schedule up with mine so that we can see each other as much as possible. This means that we both have Tuesdays off. We decided to use our Tuesdays this summer to have awesome adventures together, so here is our first post, of hopefully many, of what we will affectionately refer to as The Tuesday Chronicles. Here we go...

Being our first Tuesday out, we were a little unsure as to what to do, so we decided to go for a drive up the canyon to "see what we see". We ended up driving all the way out to Heber City, which is about 40 minutes away. Then I remembered that there were some really cool German resorts & cool looking houses in Midway that David had never seen, so we busted out the Garmin & drove to Midway, the next town over. I was wrong. There weren't any German resorts & houses; they were Swiss. It'd been a while since I'd been there, but David enjoyed seeing everything anyway. Here are a few pictures...

This is an awesome bridge that we found when driving
from Midway back to Heber City.
The sign said that it was called Legacy Bridge.

After our little Midway adventure, we went back to Heber City & had lunch at Pizza Hut, which was fabulous & so filling that we skipped dinner & just had pudding for dessert. But hey, it's all part of the adventure, right?
