Memorial Day Adventures

Today, we decided to go up to Fairfield to Camp Floyd to see a Civil War reenactment. It was pretty low key, but it was fun to walk around and see all of the little set-ups.

Afterward, while we were hanging out at home, I saw that a friend of mine had posted on Facebook that he was trying to get rid of his television. Apparently, he had purchased a brand new big flat screen and just needed to get rid of his old one. So I told him that we would take it.

The awesomeness?

It's a 50" flat screen.

And we got it for free.

It's an older one (obviously), which means it's one of those thicker ones that stands all on it's own, and it takes up a lot more room than I thought it would, but it's pretty great just the same.

I really just like being able to say that we got a 50" TV for free.

Bad Mommy

I've been a bad mommy blogger.

Actually, I went to post sometime a couple of weeks ago when we got this cute video of James eating solids for the first time, but it kept giving me errors, so I kind of gave up.

No worries. Here's a cute picture of our little dude trying to feed himself some delicious carrots.

And I promise that I will try to be a much better mommy blogger. I'm thinking that this blog needs a facelift anyway. I'll get crackin' on that right now.
