Getting So Big

I just peeked in on James, like I usually do right before I go to bed. And as usual, he's sprawled out like a big ol' crib hog.

I couldn't help but notice just how big he's gotten recently. It's so amazing! He's gotten so long and is really workin' those limbs.

He's rocking back and forth on his hands and knees, so any day now we'll probably end up seeing him cruise right past us.

He doesn't like to sit up all that much - mostly because he would rather be moving around - but he can push himself up into a sitting position and hold it there (until he gets bored of it).

I've had to gradually start babyproofing a few things around the apartment, like taping down cords and relocating picture frames. But despite all of my efforts, he'll still crawl right over to David's oh-so-tasty shoes and try to lick them. (Seriously, why?)

He is so smiley and so snuggly and is just the light of our lives.

Continuous Sleep!

James slept for 12 straight hours last night, not waking even once. It was probably the best night of sleep that I've had in the past year and a half. I just had to share that with you. :)

Crawling

We aren't quite there yet, but we're making some pretty good progress. We'll be cruisin' around in no time! (Time to go buy some baby gates!)

Back to School, Back to School...

As some of you may or may not know, I recently returned to BYU in order to finish my bachelor's degree. (Yippee!) I only had 4 classes left to complete in order to graduate, which means that I am taking 2 classes during spring term (which is going on right now) & 2 classes during summer term. Then I will graduate in August. (Hooray!) David is finishing up this fall semester & graduating in December. (Woo hoo!) Since BYU doesn't have commencement exercises in December, he's opted to walk for graduation in August, so we can do it together. (Have I cheered with excitement yet?! Just checking.)
