New Birthday Toy

Today, James got a birthday present in the mail from his Uncle Tony & Aunt Jen. It was a Toy Story DVD & a toy car to go along with it - RC with Woody riding inside! Here he is giving it a test run:

(You can also catch a glimpse of James' main Christmas present sitting in front of the couch. I'm not sure what I'll do when I have to actually hide them!)

The Sweetest Thing

How did I get such a sweet boy? No idea. Though he loves to be a little mischievous at times and has learned how to fake cry like the best of them, he's still a really big sweetheart. He won't fall asleep in my arms anymore (unless he wakes up in the middle of the night and I'm helping him back to sleep), but he loves to snuggle and be tickled mercilessly. I know that Thanksgiving was a few days ago, but I have to say that I'm really thankful for my little family. We don't have much right now, but we definitely have each other and that's good enough for me.

James' 1 Year Portraits

Here they are! James' one year portraits! He was having a little bit of a sad day, as he was quite opposed to sitting still, but they still turned out pretty cute. (After all, this is James we are talking about here.)

Happy Birthday, Little Man!

James' First Birthday Party

We decided to celebrate James' birthday a day early because his actual birthday falls on a Sunday. Here are some pictures (and a video) from his party earlier today.

Here's the sign we put on the door, along with a few balloons, to welcome the guests to James' Doctor Who-themed party!

All of the delicious treats, including the TARDIS cupcake layout!

This is the fabulous name banner that my good friend, Lisa, made for James.

Digging in to our first birthday cupcake.

James' buddy, Matthew, wanted to have some cupcake, too. Matthew's birthday was just a few days earlier and James decided to help himself to Matthew's birthday cupcake at his party, so it was only fair to share.

Here's a video of James enjoying his cupcake.

Opening our presents!

Mommy & Daddy gave me a Cars backpack (so I can carry my own stuff now).

The party was tons of fun and we were so glad that so many of our friends could make it. Thanks for making it memorable!

On My Own Two Feet

Here is a FABULOUS new video for you! It's pretty self-explanatory. :)

(Oh, and I'm sorry about how loud I am. I am well aware of my own loudness, but it always seems to escape me that a microphone is right by my big mouth when I'm recording these videos. Sorry!)
